공 출마예정자는 우선 송도에서 형산강을 건너 포스코로 바로 연결되는 1㎞ 규모의 직결 교량 건설을 추진하겠다고 밝혔다. 그는 “해오름대교 개통 이후 시가지 교통은 일부 개선됐지만 송도 방향 교통은 오히려 집중되고 있다”며 “송도에서 포스코로 바로 연결되는 길이 없어 출퇴근 차량이 형산로터리를 경유해야 하는 불편이 크다”고 지적했다.
이어 “이 다리는 단순한 교량이 아니라 포스코 접근성을 높이고 시내 교통 흐름을 바꾸는 핵심 인프라가 될 것”이라며 “사업비는 포스코와 협력을 통해 상생 인프라로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
