홍 전 시장은 이날 자신의 페이스북에 “네 번 할 동안 늘 좋은 분위기 속에서 당 덕으로 당선되었으니, 이번에는 당 덕 보지 말고 본인 힘으로 한번 해보라”며 “선거를 핑계로 당을 흔들고 분탕질하는 세력이 무슨 미래와 대안 세력이 되겠느냐”고 지적했다.
이어 “박근혜 탄핵 당시 바른정당을 만들어 패악질을 부리던 사람들이 지금 또 똑같은 짓을 반복하고 있다”며 “그런 배신자들이 당을 망치고 있다”고 주장했다.
홍 전 시장은 또 “바른정당을 만든 것보다 더 나쁜 짓은 비열하게 숨어 윤석열 전 대통령과 당 인사들을 비난하는 여론을 조성한 드루킹식 여론 조작”이라며 “이는 명백한 범죄행위”라고 비판했다.
그러면서 “그런 행태를 옹호할 시간에 한 사람이라도 더 서울시민을 만나라”며 “요즘 하는 짓마다 헛발질”이라고 직격했다.
앞서 오 시장은 지난달 29일 국민의힘 최고위원회의에서 한 전 대표 제명이 의결되자, 장동혁 대표의 사퇴를 공개적으로 요구하며 당 지도부를 향한 비판 수위를 높여 왔다.
