(완도=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남 완도군이 계속되는 가뭄 위기에 대응하기 위해 중앙정부와 함께 현장 점검에 나서는 등 용수 확보를 위한 총력전에 돌입했다.
완도군은 지난 13일 군청 상황실에서 행정안전부 주재로 ‘가뭄 대책 TF 회의’(사진)를 개최하고, 이어 노화읍 넙도 수원지를 방문해 현장 점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이날 회의에는 행정안전부, 농림축산식품부, 기후에너지환경부, 기상청 등 중앙 부처를 비롯해 한국농어촌공사, 한국수자원공사, 전라남도, 완도군 관계자들이 대거 참석했다. 참석자들은 부처별 추진 상황과 종합 대책을 공유하고, 생활용수 가뭄 ‘관심’ 단계인 노화 넙도 지역의 수급 상황을 집중 점검했다.

군은 단기 처방과 더불어 도서 지역의 물 부족 문제를 완전히 해소하기 위한 ‘급수 비상 공급망 구축 사업’에 속도를 내고 있다.
총 사업비 679억 원이 투입되는 이 사업은 해남 분기점에서 노화읍까지 총 35.8km(육상 24.9km, 해저 10.9km)에 달하는 상수 관로를 연결하는 대공사다. 배수지 1개소와 가압장 2개소를 설치해 일 1,000㎥의 시설 용량을 갖출 계획이다.
