【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=국립한국교통대학교는 1월 7일(수), 충주고구려천문과학관에서 ‘과학문화 활성화 및 지역상생 협력을 위한 업무협약(이하 협약)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 국립한국교통대학교 과학문화진흥센터 손태진 센터장과 충주고구려천문과학관 이태형 관장을 비롯한 양 기관 관계자들이 참석했다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 ▲과학문화 활성화를 위한 지역사회 공헌 프로그램 공동 운영 ▲천문 분야 과학문화 네트워크 구축 ▲지역 상생 프로그램 공동 기획 및 운영 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 확대하기로 합의했다. 특히 지역의 과학문화 생태계를 강화하고 지역사회 발전에 기여할 수 있는 실질적인 협력체계를 구축하는 데 뜻을 모았다.
과학문화진흥센터 손태진 센터장은 “양 기관이 보유한 자원과 전문성을 바탕으로 실효성 있는 양질의 프로그램을 공동 개발할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”라며 “쌍방향 협력을 통해 지역과 함께 성장하는 과학문화 기반 조성에 기여하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
한편, 국립한국교통대학교 과학문화진흥센터는 앞으로도 지역 내 다양한 기관과 연계하여 지역 과학 교육과 문화 확산을 위한 네트워크를 확대하고, 지속가능한 협력 모델을 구축해 나갈 계획이다.
