【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=서원대학교(총장 손석민)는 26일 충청 ICT이노베이션스퀘어에서 충북과학기술혁신원과 청년 디지털 창의 인재 양성 및 콘텐츠산업 발전을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
이날 협약식에는 서원대학교 손석민 총장과 충북과학기술혁신원 고근석 원장을 비롯한 양 기관 관계자가 참석했다.
이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 충북 콘텐츠 중점사업 활성화를 위한 청년 디지털 인재 양성, 지역 인재 취업 및 창업 활성화를 위한 공동프로그램 개발 및 운영, 양 기관이 보유한 지식정보 공유 및 충청 ICT 이노베이션스퀘어 운영 활성화 등 다양한 분야에서 협력하기로 했다.
서원대는 이번 협약을 계기로 충북과학기술혁신원과 협력하여 디지털 기술 기반의 창의·융합 교육을 강화하고, 실무 중심의 인재를 양성할 계획이다. AI, 빅데이터, XR(확장현실) 등 첨단 기술 기반의 교육과정을 개발해 지역 청년들이 경쟁력 있는 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하고, 충북 지역의 산업 생태계 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
서원대 손석민 총장은 “이번 협약이 디지털 기술을 기반으로 지역 청년들에게 새로운 기회를 제공하고, 지역 사회에 활력을 불어넣는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “디지털 창의 인재를 체계적으로 양성하고 지역 내 취·창업을 적극 지원하겠다”라고 말했다. 이어 “충북과학기술혁신원과의 협력을 통해 올해부터 시행되는 지역혁신중신 대학지원체계(RISE)에서 중추적인 역할을 수행할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
