(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 지난 21일 ‘계양구립종합누리센터’의 건립 부지를 ‘동양동423-0’(예정 지번)으로 확정하고, 당초 계획보다 앞당겨 매입계약 체결을 완료했다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, ‘계양구립종합누리센터’는 총사업비 240억 원을 투입해 1,700㎡ 부지에 지하 1층부터 지상 4층의 규모로 건립되며 노인문화센터, 장애인복지관, 발달장애인평생교육센터로 조성될 계획이다.
계양구립종합누리센터는 어르신과 장애인을 위한 복지시설을 한곳에 모아 공간 활용의 효율성을 극대화하고, 다양한 시설의 관리와 운영을 통합해 인력과 행정비용을 절감하고자 복합복지시설로 계획됐다.
계양구는 2027년부터 구립종합누리센터를 본격 운영할 예정으로, 노인 여가생활 증진과 장애인의 사회 적응을 위한 다양한 사업을 통해 지역의 복합적인 복지 욕구를 적극적으로 충족해 나갈 계획이다.
앞서, 계양구는 2025년 본예산에 부지 매입비 12.6억 원을 편성하고 관련된 사전절차를 조속히 이행함으로써 본격적인 사업 추진에 속도를 올리고 있다.
이는 3기 신도시로 진행 중인 계양테크노밸리에 수용된 동양노인문화센터(등록회원 3,300명)의 이전 시기와 2026년 예정된 대규모 공동주택 입주 시기 등 주변 환경 요인을 고려했을 때 신속한 사업 추진이 요구되고 있기 때문이다.

또한, 계양구가 오는 2월 21일까지 마을교육공동체 구축과 마을 자원을 연계한 교육사업 추진을 위해 ‘1동 1교 하모니 사업’의 공모 신청을 받는다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, ‘1동 1교 하모니 사업’은 마을(洞)과 학교(校)가 상호 협력해 아이들의 배움의 공간을 마을로 확장하고, 마을의 자원을 활용한 교육사업 및 마을교육공동체 구축을 지원하는 사업이다.
계양구는 2021년부터 2024년까지 총 13개의 사업을 지원해 왔다.
지난해에는 효성2동주민자치회·효성서초등학교의 ‘아름다운 마을, 건강한 사람들’, 계산1동주민자치회·해서초등학교의 ‘2024 어울림, 행복해서 계산동’, 작전1동주민자치회·작전중학교의 ‘우리는 마을 청소년 방송단’, 계양1동주민자치회·계양초등학교의 ‘얘들아, 벼농사는 처음이지?’의 4개 사업을 추진했다.
