2024 창원특례시 도시재생 워크숍 개최

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 재생을 통한 도시공간 구상 및 도시재생 발전방향 모색을 위해 26일 진해해양공원 해양솔라파크 대회의장에서 ‘2024 창원특례시 도시재생 워크숍’을 개최했다.

‘창원 도시재생! 10년의 기록, 10년의 과제’를 주제로 열린, 이날 워크숍에는 홍남표 창원특례시장, 손태화 창원특례시의회 의장, 김종해 창원시설공단 이사장, 김현석 창원특례시 지역건축사 회장을 비롯한 지역건축사, 대학생, 창원시도시재생지원센터 및 도시재생 주민협의체 대표 등 180여 명이 참석했다.

워크숍 1부에서는 한수경 부연구위원(건축공간연구원)이 빈집재생 관리방안 및 활용사례에 대하여, 유석연 서울시립대학교 교수가 노후 저층 주거지 재생·정비를 위한 사업화 모델에 대하여 주제발표를 했다.

2부에서는 황인식 창원시정연구원장을 좌장으로 박진호 경상남도 도시재생지원센터장, 윤주선 충남대학교 건축학과 교수, 조형규 창원대 건축학과 교수, 주희선 경상국립대학교 도시공학과 교수와 함께 창원 도시재생사업의 진단 및 향후 도시재생 발전 방향에 대한 종합토론을 진행했다.

특히, 도시재생사업에 대한 이해도를 높이기 위해 행사장에 현황 판넬과 주민 활동사진도 함께 전시해 행사 참여자들에게 창원시 도시재생사업에 대한 현황을 공유했다.

홍남표 창원시장은 “이번 워크숍은 기존의 시설공급 위주의 도시재생 방식에서 벗어난 다양한 접근방법을 고민하고 창원시가 나아가야 할 도시재생의 올바른 방향에 대해 정립하는 뜻깊은 자리였다”고 밝혔다.

Changwon Special City held the ‘2024 Changwon Special City Urban Regeneration Workshop’ at the Jinhae Marine Park Ocean Solar Park Conference Hall on the 26th to plan urban spaces through regeneration and explore directions for urban regeneration development.

In particular, in order to increase understanding of the urban regeneration project, a status panel and photos of residents’ activities were displayed at the event venue to share the current status of the Changwon City urban regeneration project with event participants.
