(브레이크뉴스 광주·전남) 이학수 기자=전남도가 성장 잠재력이 있는 지역 중소기업의 해외 진출 지원을 위해 지난 21일까지 3일간 미국 실리콘밸리에서 열린 플러그앤플레이(PNP) 실리콘밸리 서밋에 지역 6개 기업과 함께 참가했다.(사진)
플러그앤플레이 실리콘밸리 서밋은 플러그앤플레이가 양성한 세계 300개 이상 스타트업과 100여 개 파트너기업, 200여 명의 투자자, 대학, 정부 기관, 지자체 등 4천여 명이 참여하는 국제 규모 네트워킹 이벤트다.
이번 전남 기업 참가는 전남도가 지난 1월 미국 소비자 전자제품 전시회(CES 2024)에서 플러그앤플레이의 네트워크를 활용해 전남 스타트업의 글로벌 진출방안을 모색하기 위한 업무협약을 한데 따른 것이다.
이후 전남 글로벌 으뜸기업 14개사를 선정해 지난 5개월간 글로벌 멘토링, 영문 투자제안 코칭 프로그램을 수행하고, 10월 ‘데모데이 IR’을 통해 우수 평가를 받은 ㈜에이비알, ㈜휴먼아이티솔루션, 오엠오, 좋은영농조합법인 ,㈜슈니테크, ㈜해신, 6개사를 선정했다.
㈜에이비알은 중대형 배터리의 친환경 직접 재활용 기술을 활용한 양·음극재 추출 및 재제조 기업으로 그동안 6개 정부 지원 과제를 수행했으며, 지난 10월 중소벤처기업부 팁스(TIPS)에도 선정됐다.
㈜휴먼아이티솔루션은 체력 측정 기반 근력 향상, 다이어트, 재활 등 가상현실 방식의 효율적 운동 프로그램을 개발하는 기업이다. 산업은행으로부터 투자유치(10억 원) 및 미국 원격진료 메디케어 보험사와 건강관리 앱 서비스 계약을 했다.
오엠오는 식용곤충 애벌레의 화학반응을 통해 단백질을 생산하는 기업으로 미국 식품의약품청(FDA) 승인을 받아 미국과 싱가포르 등에 수출하고 있으며, 곤충 식품의 대중화와 다양한 식용 곤충식품 개발에 힘쓰고 있다.
좋은영농조합법인은 나주 배를 이용해 착즙주스를 제조·유통하는 기업으로, 미국 뉴욕 코스트코와 일본·베트남 마트에 입점했다. 착즙주스는 2022년 대한민국 중소기업 국가대표 ‘브랜드 K’ 제품에 선정되기도 했다.
친환경 수산기자재와 양식용 하이브리드 모니터링 시스템 개발 기술을 보유한 ㈜슈니테크는 김 종자 배양을 위한 친환경 배양 필름을 제작 중이며 2024년 해수부 창업 콘테스트 최우수상을 받았다.
대한민국 최초 해상 및 육상 해삼 양식 기술을 보유한 수산물 가공식품 제조 및 수출 기업인 ㈜해신은 올해 중국 수출 물량으로 2천 톤을 확보한 상태로 해삼 관련 특허 6건을 등록한 유망 벤처기업이다.

박창환 부지사는 이번 행사 기간 사이드 아미디(Saeed Amidi) 플러그앤플레이 최고경영자(CEO)를 만나 우주항공, 해상풍력, 데이터센터, 이차전지 등 전남 산업의 강점을 홍보하고, 전남 기업에 대한 직접 투자 등 협업 방안을 제안했다.

The Plug and Play Silicon Valley Summit is an international networking event with over 300 startups fostered by Plug and Play, 100 partner companies, 200 investors, universities, government agencies, local governments, and 4,000 people participating.
