(July 20, 2024. Los Angeles) The original Kimchi Warrior was born in 2010, 15 years ago. Since then, Kimchi Warrior has been uploaded on YouTube, gaining recognition through online platforms. The animation series sparked controversy, memes, and increasing popularity. Now, 15 years later, the character is reborn in a completely different style and new look.
The old Kimchi Warrior was 2D animation, more comedic and heavily branded around kimchi, but the new character adopts a very dark, futuristic, and dystopian perspective. The character's green hair represents Baechu, Korean cabbage, and his muscular body has a green skin tone normally. However, when he needs to gain power, he eats special kimchi, and his skin tone changes to red, representing the color of red kimchi.
Creator and Director Young Man Kang says, “His appearance is mostly very mysterious and might give the impression of a villain, but toward the end of the story, he saves the world. He’s a superhero.”
The story revolves around the fight between good and evil, posing the question: who is the real evil? Who is the Kimchi Warrior? Is he battling the dark side?
The first season will consist of 7 episodes, and the trailer is now out.

"Kimchi Warrior 2030" Ep 1: "The Chaser”
The The season has 7 episodes, starting with Episode 1: "The Chaser."
In a fog-laden city alley, a pregnant woman in a blood-stained hospital gown flees with her newborn baby. She seeks refuge in an alley guarded by combat police officers. As she collapses, she hands the baby to the officers, warning that someone is trying to kill it.
In the alley, Sergeant Russel is startled by the baby's arrival. Suddenly, a mysterious warrior with muscles and green hair emerges from the fog, demanding the baby. The warrior displays supernatural strength, defeating the officers effortlessly.
As chaos ensues, Sergeant Russel takes the baby and escapes on foot, vowing to protect it. The warrior pursues them with relentless determination. The episode ends with Sergeant Russel racing through the city's narrow alleys, the baby's evil red eyes glowing and cries echoing in the darkness, setting the stage for the next installment.
