【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시지속가능발전협의회(공동의장 이범석, 김병국, 이재은, 이하 협의회)는 30일 청주시도시재생지원센터에서 ‘2023 지속가능발전 시민공모전 사례전시회 및 시상식’을 개최했다.
이번 공모전은 ‘현 세대와 미래세대가 행복한 지속가능한 도시 청주’를 주제로, 청주 지역에서 지속가능성에 대한 실천 사례와 아이디어를 발굴하고 이러한 활동을 공유하기 위해 기획됐다.
협의회는 1차 서류심사, 2차 발표심사를 통해 7개의 우수사례, 10개의 희망사례 총 17개 사례를 선정했다.
이어, 7개의 우수사례를 대상으로 학생 투표를 진행해 ‘대상’을 선정했다. 이번 투표에는 내곡초등학교 학생 400여 명이 참여했다.
선정 결과 대상은 청주사천푸르지오아파트의 ‘지속가능한 도시와 공동체(FUN!FUN!한 초록마을 만들기)’가 뽑혔다.
우수사례로는 내가만드는금융복지, 한울타里, 청주민예총, 싱글룸, 청주충북환경운동연합, 아이림 어린이집이 선정됐으며, 희망사례로는 식생활교육청주네트워크, 청주문화의집, 시너지 지속가능발전교육 교육공동체, 충북여성인력개발센터, 충청북도발달장애인지원센터, 복대대원아파트 입주자대표회의, 공공디자인이즘, 도란도란생태다락방, 아름다운숲 어린이집, 사단법인 이재민사랑본부가 선정됐다.
한편 협의회는 지역 안에서 벌어지는 다양한 활동 사례들을 발굴하기 위해 매년 4월‘지속가능 청주 시민실천 네트워크 협약식’을 진행하고 있다. 지난 4월 협약식에서는 187개 기관 및 단체(개인 포함)가 참여했다.
공모전은 이 네트워크에 참여하고 있는 단체를 중심으로 하면서 청주에서 활동하는 여타 단체들까지 확장해 진행됐다.
협의회 상임의장인 이재은 교수는 “지금은 소박하게 시작하지만, 청주시가 지속가능한 도시가 될 수 있도록 노력하고 있는 여러 기관과 단체들을 네트워크로 묶어 향후에 ‘지속가능발전대회’ 같은 큰 사업으로 발전시키겠다”는 포부를 밝혔다.

Cheongju Sustainable Development Council (Co-Chairs Beom-seok Lee, Byeong-guk Kim, Jae-eun Lee, hereinafter referred to as the Council) held the ‘2023 Sustainable Development Citizen Contest Case Exhibition and Awards Ceremony’ at the Cheongju Urban Regeneration Support Center on the 30th.
