KH그룹 필룩스 유도단은 지난 9일 포항 동지고등학교 유도관을 방문했다. 동지중·고, 동지여중·고 선수들에게 올림픽 무대에서 선보였던 메치기·굳히기·낙법 등 유도 핵심기술을 전수했다고 밝혔다.
포항을 방문한 KH그룹 필룩스 유도단은 2015광주하계U대회 유도국가대표팀을 이끌었던 최원 단장과 2012 런던올림픽 챔피언인 송대남 감독, 2020도쿄올림픽 은메달리스트 조구함·2020도쿄올림픽 동메달리스트 안창림·2016 파리 그랜드슬램 챔피언 김잔디·2017 타이베이 유니버시아드 은메달리스트 이정윤 등이 소속된 팀이다.
이번 유도단 재능기부는 동지중·고 소속인 이재현·재경 형제가 보낸 감사의 손 편지가 계기가 됐다. KH그룹은 지난 2월 대한유도회와 한국 초중고유도연맹을 통해 이재현 선수와 동생 이재경(당시 고령초·현 동지중)을 비롯해 전국 11명의 유도 꿈나무에게 각 100만 원씩의 장학금을 지급했다.

장학금을 받은 이재현·재경 형제는 배 회장에게 “열심히 훈련해서 꼭 훌륭한 선수로 성장하겠다.”라고 감사의 손 편지를 보냈다. 어린 선수들의 손 편지에 감동한 배 회장은 “선수들의 따뜻한 인성이 유도 발전의 밑거름이 될 것”이라며 추가 지원을 약속했다.
배 회장은 이들이 성인이 될 때까지 매월 50만 원씩의 장학금을 지원하고, 유도단 소속 국가 대표급 유도선수들에게 직접 교육을 받을 수 있는 재능기부를 정기적으로 추진할 것을 결정했다.
특히 배 회장의 선행은 지역사회에서 따뜻한 나눔으로 이어졌다. 또 지속적인 사회적 책임(CSR)을 다하기 위한 KH그룹의 기업 정신을 재차 확인하는 기회가 되기도 했다.
장학금을 받은 동생 이재경 군은 자신이 졸업한 고령초를 방문했다. 후배 유도 인재들에게 사용해 달라며 장학금 100만 원을 쾌척했다.

국제무대 메달리스트 선수들의 기술을 직접 체험한 학생들은 올림픽 꿈나무가 되기 위한 결의를 다지는 시간이 될 수 있었다고 전했다.
이들의 지도를 받은 동지고 차승준 군은 “말로만 듣고 TV로만 봤던 안창림 선배로부터 직접 안 뒤축 걸기를 배우고 파트너로 상대할 수 있는 시간을 가졌다는 게 믿겨 지지 않았고, 특히 너무나 부드럽고 쉽게 큰 힘 들이지 않고 던지는 것을 보고 실제 많은 것을 느낄 수 있었다”면서 “앞으로 선배님의 지도를 잘 기억하고 훈련에 임해 국가대표는 물론 올림픽 챔피언이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 각오를 다졌다.
한편 KH그룹 필룩스 유도단은 이날 선수들에게 운동복과 신발 등 훈련용품도 지원했다. 재능기부 후에도 포항지역 초·중·고 선수들과 만찬을 진행하며 선수 전원에게 백화점 상품권(20만 원권)을 각각 전달, 유도 꿈나무 선수들을 응원했다.

KH Group's FEELUX Judo Team visited Pohang Dongji High School Judo Hall on the 9th.
