트와이스는 오는 5월 12일 일본 싱글 8집 'Kura Kura' 발표를 앞두고, 21일 신보와 동명인 타이틀곡 음원과 뮤직비디오를 미리 선보였다. 신곡은 선공개 직후 21일 오전 1시 기준 현지 음원 사이트 라인 뮤직 실시간 톱 100 차트 1위로 진입하며 트와이스의 굳건한 인기를 입증했다.

 

이번 노래 'Kura Kura'는 JYP엔터테인먼트 대표 프로듀서 박진영이 작사를 맡아 '상대를 만난 순간 마법에 걸린 듯 둘만의 세상으로 깊게 빠져드는 감정'을 가사로 나타냈다. 특히 트와이스가 일본 앨범에서는 첫 선보이는 매혹적 콘셉트를 주로 담고 있어 현지 팬들의 뜨거운 환호를 이끌고 있다.

한편, 트와이스는 해외에서 꾸준한 활약을 이어가며 글로벌 팬들과 소통하고 있다. 오는 27일 오후(현지 시간)에는 미국 NBC '켈리 클락슨 쇼'(The Kelly Clarkson Show)에 출연해 2020년 12월 발매한 'CRY FOR ME'(크라이 포 미) 무대를 펼친다.

 

'CRY FOR ME'는 트와이스의 애절하면서도 치명적인 매력이 돋보이는 곡으로 공개 당시 전 세계 20개 지역 아이튠즈 송 차트 1위를 차지한 바 있다.
