A foundation)Leading role in commercialization of carbon material parts at Kyungbuk High-Guided Parts Research Institute

[Break News Gyeongbuk] Lee Sung-hyun,

Gyeongbuk High-BrandEd Parts Research Institute (Director Chu Gyeong-hoon, hereinafter research fellow) is actively actively becoming a member of carbon materials.

According to the researchers, in October, the "Carbon Molded Parts Commercialization Certification Center" was opened in the high-tech valley of the Gyeongbuk-Gyeongmi National 5th Industrial Complex.

Here, through the development of technology and production base of carbon materials and components, the ?carbon industry ecosystem is created, ?soung industrial competitiveness ? as part of supporting enterprise development, and "carbon-building part design research and commercialization-based construction projects (general manager rubs)".

Currently, resin Transfer Molding (RTM) and Prepreg Compression Molding (PCM) molding press forming equipment and carbon molded parts ultrasonic inspection equipment are being installed and tested, and by 2021, a total of 22 kinds of equipment such as carbon material parts certification, prototype production, and verification support programs will be completed.

Through these advanced facilities,

Gyeongbuk High-Guided Parts Research Institute plans to combine the region's rich industrial infrastructure (automobiles, electronics, etc.) with carbon materials, and provide One-Stop support to design, interpret, prototype, test test, and certify. In particular, as part of this, we have said that we will also strengthen the global technological competitiveness of carbon companies and ensure product development and reliability.

We look forward to developing an outstanding equipment ecosystem and playing a leading role in the commercialization of carbon components

The equipment installed in the center can be prototyped from smaller parts of smaller sizes to heavy and large parts such as automotive body parts. As a result, it is possible to support the commercialization of carbon materials at a global level using automotive parts and digital infrastructure, enabling us to secure the competitiveness of carbon material fusion parts molding technology and systematic commercialization production technology.

In particular, from 2021, as corporate support through substantial R&D challenges and practical equipment use is possible, the Gyeongbuk High Product Research Institute is expected to play a leading role in the development of carbon materials and parts industry ecosystems and commercialization of carbon parts while attracting interest from synergies generated through it in association with existing industry-based.

"Together with the government's Green New Deal policy, we will lead the globalization of the carbon materials and components industry and actively combine and utilize existing technology-based infrastructure to maximize synergy and efficiency of budget investments so that The Republic of Korea can lead the carbon materials industry." said.
