브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 보건 당국은 현 신종 코로나바이러스 감염 상황이라면 2~4주 뒤 일일 신규 확진자가 300~400명까지 늘어날 수 있다고 경고했다.
정은경 질병관리청장은 16일 전문가들의 예측을 인용해 이같이 말하며 "사회적 거리두기를 강화하는 노력이 필요하다"고 강조했다.
특히 확진자 증가세가 지금처럼 완만히 유지되더라도 1~2주 후에는 수도권의 병상 부족 등 의료체계가 한계에 봉착할 수 있다고 우려했다.
정 청장은 이날 오후 충북 오송 질병청에서 코로나19 중앙방역대책본부 정례브리핑을 열고 "모델링을 예측하는 전문가들의 2~4주 후 예측 결과를 보면 (신규 확진자가) 300~400명 가까이 발생할 수 있다"고 설명했다.
코로나19 확진자 1명이 얼마나 감염을 확산시키는지를 나타내는 '재생산지수'를 언급하며 "현재 1을 넘어 1.1~1.2를 넘은 상황"이라고 말했다.
감염재생산지수는 감염자 1명이 바이러스를 옮기는 환자의 수를 말한다. 1 이상이면 시간이 지날수록 바이러스 감염이 급증해 유행이 확산될 가능성이 높다.
정 청장은 "중환자 병상을 확충했지만 기하급수적으로 늘어날 경우에는 의료대응체계(가 감당하기 힘든) 대규모 발생이 올 수 있다"면서 "이런 양상이 1~2주 지속되면 어려워질 거라고 보고 있다. 지금 수준에서 다시 유행을 꺾지 않으면 의료체계에도 상당히 부담을 줄 수 있는 수준"이라고 우려했다.
보건복지부 중앙사고수습본부(중수본) 환자병상관리반에 따르면, 코로나19 중증환자 치료를 위한 장비·인력 등을 완비하고 중수본의 지정을 받은 '중증환자 전담 치료병상'은 지난 15일 기준으로 전국 138개 중 75개만이 비어있다.
지역별 입원 가능 병상은 서울 26개, 인천 15개, 경기 10개로 수도권이 51개다. 대구·광주·경남·충남은 각 4개, 부산·울산은 각 3개, 전북은 2개다. 사회적 거리두기 1.5단계 상향 예비 발령이 내려진 강원 지역에는 비어있는 중증환자 전담 치료병상이 없다.
코로나19 확진자가 입원할 수 있는 중증환자 치료병상도 15일 기준으로 전국에 62개 남았다. 충북이 16개로 가장 많으며, 제주가 12개로 뒤이었다. 수도권은 서울 7개, 경기 4개, 인천 1개로 총 12개다. 대구·전북은 중증환자 치료병상이 모두 포화 상태다.

Referring to the'reproduction index', which indicates how much one corona19 confirmed person spreads the infection, he said, "the current situation has exceeded 1.1 to 1.2."
The infection reproduction index refers to the number of patients carrying the virus by one infected person. If it is 1 or more, it is highly likely that the virus infection will increase rapidly over time and the outbreak will spread.
Commissioner Chung said, "If the beds for critically ill patients are expanded, but if they increase exponentially, a large-scale outbreak of the medical response system (which is difficult to handle) could come." "If it doesn't break the fashion again, it can put a considerable burden on the medical system," he said.
According to the Patient Bed Management Group at the Central Accident Control Center (heavy water version) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the ``dedicated treatment bed for severely ill patients,'' which was designated as a heavy water copy and equipped with equipment and personnel for the treatment of severely ill patients with Corona 19, was nationwide as of the 15th. Only 75 of the 138 are empty.
By region, there are 26 hospital beds in Seoul, 15 in Incheon, and 10 in Gyeonggi-do, and 51 in the metropolitan area. There are no vacant treatment beds for severely ill patients in the Gangwon area, where the preliminary order of 1.5 steps up to social distancing has been issued.
As of the 15th, 62 treatment beds for severely ill patients with corona19 confirmed patients remained nationwide. Chungbuk was the largest with 16, followed by Jeju with 12. There are 12 metropolitan areas, 7 in Seoul, 4 in Gyeonggi and 1 in Incheon. In Daegu and Jeonbuk, all treatment beds for severely ill patients are saturated.
