2020 채용결산, 팬데믹 채용쇼크 ‘현실화’..신입 채용 전년比 18.5%↓

코로나19발 경기 침체가 기업들의 신입채용 축소로 이어진 것으로 드러났다.

 

16일 인크루트에 따르면 비대면 기업 536곳 대상 ‘2020년 신입채용 결산조사’를 실시한 결과, 올 한해 신입사원을 뽑은 기업 비율이 전년대비 5분의 1가량 줄어들었다. 

 

올 초(2020년 1월 조사) 인크루트가 상장사 831곳을 대상으로 “2019년에 대졸신입 직원을 1명이라도 뽑았는지?”, 즉 지난해 실제 채용 여부를 확인한 결과, 전체기업의 85.5%는 ‘그렇다’고 답했다. 기업별로는 △대기업 94.5% △중견기업 92.2% △중소기업 80.3% 순이었다. 지난해 기업 5곳 중 평균 4곳 가량에서 신입사원을 뽑은 것.

 

그러나 올해에는 “2020년에 대졸신입 직원을 1명이라도 채용했는지?” 물은 결과 ‘그렇다’고 답한 기업 비율은 67.0%에 그쳤다. 기업별로는 기업별로는 △대기업 89.5% △중견기업 76.9% △중소기업 62.1% 순으로 집계됐고, 전년대비 감소비율은 각각 대기업 -5.0%p, 중견기업 -15.3%p, 중소기업 -18.2%p로 확인됐다. 

 

전년 대비 신입사원을 채용한 기업비율이 18.5%P 하락, 약 5분의 1가량 줄어들어 대조를 보인 것. 동시에 기업 5곳 중 2곳은 올해 신입채용 여력이 아예 없었다는 점에서 팬데믹 채용쇼크 우려를 증명했다.

 

업종별로는 ‘채용 했다’ 비율이 높은 순서대로 △운수ㆍ육상ㆍ물류(100.0%) △의료·간호·보건(90.0%) △미디어·방송·광고(87.5%) △전자·반도체(82.4%) △금융·보험(77.8%) 순 상위 5개 업종에서 채용이 활발했던 것으로 파악됐다.

 

반면, ‘채용 안 했다’ 비율 순서로는 △여행·숙박·항공(57.1%) △의류·신발·기타제조(55.6%) △식음료(52.2%) △에너지(50.0%) △건설·토목(43.5%) 등에서 신입채용이 저조했던 것으로 풀이된다.

 

올 한해 비대면 서비스 및 보건산업이 조명을 받으며 관련 업종의 신입채용 또한 활발했다면 반대로 직격탄을 맞은 여행·항공·숙박업 및 그 외 일부 업종에서는 신입채용 비율이 절반에도 그치지 못한 것.

 

신입채용 규모에 대해서는 “전년과 비교해 채용규모가 어떻게 달라졌는지?” 살펴본 결과 △전년대비 줄었다(40.3%) △전년과 같다(41.2%) △전년보다 늘었다(18.5%) 순으로 응답했다.

 

특기할 점은 채용규모가 전년대비 줄었다고 답한 기업 중 △대기업이(52.9%) 비율이 △중견(36.8%) 및 △중소(38.6%)기업 대비 큰 폭으로 높았다는 사실이다.
