[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시, 김해 의생명·산업진흥원은 20일부터 10월 6일까지 17일간 경남 최대 규모의 스타트업 투자유치 경진대회 참여기업을 모집한다.
이번 행사는 김해시장, 경남창조경제혁신센터 표창 등 9개의 시상내역으로 진행되며 김해지역 내외의 유망 아이템을 보유한 7년 미만 스타트업이라면 누구나 도전해볼 수 있다.
투자유치 경진대회는 ‘Station-G’라는 브랜드명으로 진행되며 작년에 이어 올해가 두 번째로 개최하는 것이다.
Station-G는 김해와 정류장을 합성한 단어로 김해를 기반으로 해 지역의 스타트업들이 글로벌로 진출한다는 의미를 담고 있다.
제1회 Station-G 투자유치 경진대회 대상 수상 기업인 ㈜삼백육십오는 실제 투자를 유치해 최근 사옥 준공식까지 마친 상태이다.
올해 제2회 Station-G 행사는 시상 훈격이 더욱 다양해졌으며 시상금도 3천600만원으로 작년 대비 20% 증가했다.
올해 대상 및 최우수상을 수상하는 기업에 한해 김해시에 참여 중인 ‘지역 엔젤 브릿지 투자조합’ 등을 통해 실제 투자 유치 검토 대상이 된다.
특히 금번 행사에는 올해 8월에 경상남도에 설립된 한국엔젤투자협회 동남권 엔젤투자허브가 함께 참여하게 됐으며 이를 통해 지역의 특성을 반영한 엔젤투자 생태계 조성, 창업자 엔젤투자 유치 지원, 엔젤투자자 양성 교육 등 지역 내 미래를 이끌어갈 다양한 창업기업들의 성장을 기대할 수 있게 됐다.
또한 지역을 대표하는 투자사인 경남벤처투자, 시리즈벤처스가 후원하며 국내 최대 규모의 크라우드펀딩 플랫폼사인 와디즈, 콘텐츠 분야 전문 투자사인 인트윈벤처스까지 후원으로 참여했다.
대회 당일 후원사에서 심사위원으로 참여하며 우수한 성적을 거둔 스타트업에게는 후원사 명의의 표창과 상금이 주어진다.
진흥원 박성호 원장은 “Station-G 투자유치 경진대회가 지역 창업생태계를 활성화시키는 마중물 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다”고 말하면서 “올해 진흥원에서 자체적으로 모태펀드 조성에 참여해 초기기업들의 자금 유치를 보다 적극적으로 지원할 계획이다”고 밝혔다.
