【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=4년만에 대면으로 진행하는 제21회 옥천묘목축제가 31일 개막을 시작으로 오는 4월 2일까지 3일간 일정에 돌입했다.
충북 옥천의 묘목은 90년 역사와 함께 대규모 묘목생산단지를 조성, 산림바이오 혁신성장 거점으로 거듭나고 있다. 이 지역 양묘농가는 총 575종의 묘목을 재배하여 연간 1,100만주 생산하는 전국 최대 규모를 자랑하고 있다.
이번 축제는 매일 12시부터 13시까지는 ‘묘목 경매’에 참여할 수 있으며, 13시부터 14시에는 묘목 20,000주를 무료나눔 한다. 또한 ‘명품묘목을 찾아라’에 참여하면 재밌는 퍼포먼스를 구경하면서 명품묘목을 받을 수 있고, 이원면 플로깅 & 스탬프 랠리를 완료하면 튤립과 유기농 쌀을 받을 수 있다.
묘목뿐만 아니라 다양한 문화와 공연을 즐길 수도 있다. 3일 내내 옥천군 주민자치프로그램과 지역 예술인 공연이 이어지며, 31일에는 개막식 축하공연, 4월 1일에는 직장인 밴드 페스티벌, 줌바댄스 한마당이 열리고, 126팀이 참가해 12팀이 본선에 오른 묘목가요제(초대가수: 박서진, 우연이)도 개최된다. 4월 2일 폐막식 이후에는 대한가수협회와 함께하는 찾아가는 전국민 희망콘서트(MC:손헌수 / 가수: 이자연, 여행스케치, 강혜연, 양지원, 한수영)를 마지막으로 축제 전체일정을 마무리한다.
