대전시의회 행정자치위원회가 31일 개최된 제270회 임시회 문화관광국 안건 심의회의에서 정명국 의원(국민의힘, 동구 제3선거구)이 발의한 ‘대전광역시 야간관광 활성화 조례안’을 원안 가결했다.
조례안이 소관 상임위를 통과 하면서 정책적 기반이 마련됨에 따라 최근 정부의 국제명소형 야간관광 특화도시로 선정된 대전시의 야간관광 사업 활성화가 탄력을 받을 것으로 전망된다.
조례안을 대표 발의한 정명국 의원은 “대전시가 ‘국제명소형 야간관광 특화도시’로 선정된 만큼 빠른 시일 안에 야간관광 활성화를 위한 정책적 기반을 마련하여 지역관광산업과 지역경제 활성화를 도모해야한다”며 제안이유를 설명했다.
이번 조례안에는 대전광역시 야간관광 활성화 추진위원회와 야간관광 활성화 사업 등에 관한 사항이 규정되어 있어 대전시가 추진하는 야간관광 사업이 활력을 얻을 것으로 기대된다.
한편 대전은 문화체육관광부와 한국관광공사가 주관한 2023 야간관광 특화도시 조성 공모에서 대전엑스포과학공원과 엑스포다리, 신세계백화점 대전점, 한밭수목원 일대가 '국제명소형 야간 관광도시'로 선정된 바있다.
