(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 광주시가 인공지능(AI), 미래 모빌리티 등 민선 8기 주력 산업의 성장동력을 확보하기 위해 수도권 투자유치에 나섰다.
강기정 광주시장은 지난 21일 오후 서울에서 투자유치 활성화를 위해 ‘제7기 수도권 경제투자자문단 1차 회의’를 개최했다.
경제투자자문단은 수도권에서 활동하는 출향인사로 경제계와 법조계 유력인사 등으로 구성됐다.
시는 이날 자문위원 10명을 새로 위촉, 수도권 경제투자자문단을 총 20명으로 재구성했다. 이들의 임기는 2025년 3월까지 2년 간이다.
자문위원들은 앞으로 상시적인 경제동향 파악, 투자 의향 기업과 타깃 기업 정보수집 등의 활동을 한다. 광주시는 보다 전문적이고 체계화된 전략 수립과 실질적인 투자유치 활동이 이뤄질 것으로 기대하고 있다.
이날 회의에는 강 시장을 비롯해 류경선 ㈜아주디자인그룹 회장, 박주형 신세계 센트럴시티 대표, 배해동 토니모리 회장, 한진현 법무법인 광장 고문, 신경렬 TY홀딩스 미디어담당 사장, 배용주 경찰공제회 이사장 등 15명의 자문위원이 참석했다.
회의는 자문위원 위촉장 수여, 민선 8기 시정 현안 공유, 광주시 미래 비전 전략, 투자유치 방향 등에 대한 제안 및 토론 순으로 진행됐다.
류경선 ㈜아주디자인그룹 회장은 “광주시가 세계적 국제도시로 발돋움할 수 있도록 덕망과 능력을 갖춘 자문위원들과 활발히 활동할 것”이라며 “광주에 애정이 큰 만큼 지역 발전을 위해 자문위원단 각자의 네트워크를 활용해 도움이 되도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 광주시는 민선 8기 핵심 산업의 앵커기업 투자유치를 목표로 인센티브를 확대할 예정이다. 특히 연관기업 유치와 산업 인프라 구축까지 투자유치 전 과정을 원스톱 지원하고, 이를 견인할 앵커기업과 유망기업 발굴에 힘을 쏟을 계획이다.
