브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 걸그룹 트와이스 멤버 채영이 나치 문양 티셔츠 착용 논란에 대해 사과했다.
채영은 22일 자신의 인스타그램을 통해 “SNS 게시물 관련 진심으로 사과 말씀드린다”며 말문을 열었다.
채영은 “제가 착용했던 셔츠 안에 담긴 기울어진 ‘스와스티카’(swastika·나치 문양)를 제대로 인지하지 못했다”며 “세밀히 살폈어야 함에도 이를 확인치 못해 많은 분께 심려를 끼친 점 진심으로 죄송하다”고 전했다.
그러면서 채영은 “이러한 부분에 있어 향후 절대적으로 유의해 이러한 상황으로 많은 분들을 심려케 하는 일이 없도록 하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
채영은 앞서 지난 21일 개인 SNS에 나치를 상징하는 문양이 담긴 티셔츠를 입고 찍은 사진을 게재해 논란을 빚었다. 해당 게시물은 삭제된 상태다.
같은날 소속사 JYP엔터테인먼트 측 역시 채영 논란 관련해 사과문을 게재했다. “트와이스 멤버 채영 인스타그램 게시물 관련 말씀드린다. 채영이 착용한 셔츠에서 기울여진 ‘swastika’를 제대로 인지하지 못해 심려를 끼쳐 드려 진심으로 죄송하다”며 “소속사에서 더 세밀히 살폈어야 함에도 이를 확인하지 못한 점 책임을 통감한다. 향후 이러한 상황이 절대 재발치 않도록 저희 또한 각별히 주의하겠다”며 고개를 숙였다.
한편, 채영이 속한 트와이스는 지난 10일 새 미니앨범 ‘READY TO BE(레디 투 비)’를 발매했다.
