브레이크뉴스 노보림 기자= 올해부터 부처님오신날(음력 4월8일)과 크리스마스가 대체공휴일로 지정된다.
인사혁신처는 15일 이같은 내용이 담긴 '관공서의 공휴일에 관한 규정'(대통령령) 개정안을 오는 16일 입법예고 한다고 밝혔다.
정부는 국민의 휴식권 보장과 경기 활성화를 위해 석가탄신일과 성탄절을 대체공휴일로 확대 적용한다고 배경을 설명했다.
이에 따라 올해 부처님오신날은 5월 27일 토요일이어서 다음주 월요일인 5월29일 월요일이 대체공휴일로 지정된다.
성탄절인 12월 25일은 월요일이어서 대체공휴일과 관계없이 공휴일로 쉴 수 있다.
한편 전체 공휴일 15일 중 대체공휴일로 지정되지 않은 날은 신정(1월1일)과 현충일(6월6일)만 남았다.

The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on the 15th that it will announce the revision of the "Regulations on Public Holidays of Government Offices" (Presidential Decree) on the 16th.
The government explained the background that it will expand Buddha's birthday and Christmas as alternative holidays to guarantee the people's right to rest and revitalize the economy.
As a result, this year's Buddha's birthday is Saturday, May 27, so next Monday, May 29, will be designated as an alternative holiday.
Christmas Day, December 25th, is Monday, so you can rest as a holiday regardless of alternative holidays.
On the other hand, only New Year's Day (January 1) and Memorial Day (June 6) are not designated as alternative holidays among the 15 public holidays.
