【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 청주시의회 더불어민주당 의원들은 22일 오송에서 BRT 전용 자율주행버스를 시승하여 자율주행 서비스의 안전성 전반에 대해 확인했다.
이번 시승은 더불어민주당의 김성택 의원, 박완희 의원, 송병호 의원, 신승호 의원 정연숙 의원, 한재학 의원과 충북테크노파크 박진규 팀장 등이 함께했다.
해당 자율주행 서비스는 국가균형발전위원회의‘충청권 자율주행 모빌리티 상용화 지구 조성사업’의 일환으로 추진되었으며, 국토교통부, 대도시광역교통위원회, 세종시, 충청북도의 유기적 협력을 통해 이루어졌다.

현재 운행 중인 BRT 전용 자율주행버스는 세종고속시외버스터미널에서 세종정부청사를 지나 오송역까지 총 22.4km를 운행하며, 기존 BRT 노선 8개 정류장에 정차한다. 월요일~금요일 12시~16시 사이에 왕복 6회 운영하며, 배차 간격은 40분이다. 세종시 및 충북도 누리집, BRT 정류장 포스터에 있는 QR코드 통해 사전 체험신청으로 이용 가능하며, 요금은 무료다.
