브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 엔픽셀은 자사가 개발한 멀티플랫폼 다중접속역할수행게임(MMORPG) '그랑사가'의 서비스 지역을 대만·홍콩·마카오·말레이시아·싱가포르 등으로 확대한다고 19일 밝혔다.
엔픽셀은 이날 보도자료를 통해 쿠카 게임즈(Qookka Games)와 그랑사가 퍼블리싱 계약을 체결했다며 이같이 전했다. 그랑사가는 'Gran Saga:格蘭騎士團'라는 서비스명으로 연내 대만·홍콩·마카오·말레이시아·싱가포르의 양대(구글 플레이, 애플 앱스토어) 마켓(모바일) 및 자체 클라이언트(PC)로 정식 출시될 예정이다. 엔픽셀은 정식 출시에 앞서 각 마켓별 사전 등록을 실시하고 게임 공식 사이트를 오픈하는 등 마케팅 프로모션을 시작한다.
쿠카 게임즈는 2012년 설립된 홍콩 소재 게임사다. 모바일 전략 게임 '삼국지 전략판'을 개발했다. 엔픽셀은 이번 퍼블리싱 계약을 통해 이들의 현지 시장 이해도와 운영 노하우 등을 바탕으로 그랑사가의 원활한 서비스에 만전을 기한다는 방침이다.
엔픽셀 관계자는 "현지에서의 풍부한 경험을 가진 파트너사를 통해 그랑사가의 서비스 확대를 결정했다"며 "앞으로도 글로벌 파트너들과의 협업을 통해 그랑사가의 IP(지식재산권) 저변 확대에 적극 나설 것"이라고 밝혔다.
