브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 넥슨이 엔드림에서 개발한 모바일 다중접속시뮬레이션게임(MMOSLG) '문명: Reign of Power'(이하 '레인 오브 파워')를 27일 최초 공개했다.
레인 오브 파워는 미국 게임 제작사 2K(테이크투 인터랙티브 소프트웨어의 개발 자회사)가 개발한 '문명' 시리즈 중 '시드 마이어의 문명 V(문명 5)'를 기반으로 제작됐다. '문명'의 지식재산권(IP)을 활용한 모바일 게임 중에서는 최초의 MMOSLG 장르의 게임이다.
넥슨은 레인 오브 파워의 공식 티저 사이트를 개설했다. 또 레인 오브 파워의 공식 유튜브 채널을 통해 티저 영상도 공개했다. 티저 영상에는 '문명'의 핵심 키워드와 함께 게임의 브랜드 아이덴티티(BI)가 담겼다.
서용석 넥슨 퍼블리싱라이브본부 부본부장은 "레인 오브 파워는 원작의 핵심 아이덴티티는 계승하면서 신작만의 새로운 재미를 더했다"며 "전략 시뮬레이션 장르 전문 개발사인 엔드림과 협업해 최상의 재미를 제공하기 위해 준비 중"이라고 밝혔다.
