이정식 대표는 쉬페로 대사에게 돌나라 한농복구회에서 개척한 필리핀 농장이 유기농업을 통한 성공적인 자립공동체를 이루었다는 모범사례를 소개했다. 쉬페로 대사 일행은 2017년 필리핀의 돌나라 농장까지 방문하여 유기농 퇴비장과 버섯단지, 비닐하우스 단지, 야콘 가공공장 등을 둘러봤다. 일본과 한국에 야콘을 수출했던 경험과 고냉지에서 생산한 신선한 야채를 인근 도시나 섬에 유통시켰다. 필리핀의 어려운 농촌 환경을 극복하고 1,300고지의 500ha에서 친환경 공동체로 자리를 잡은 돌나라 한농복구회의 경영 방식에 깊은 인상을 받았다.
