In 2017, we established a price support fund (500 billion won) to support transactions between primary and secondary suppliers, and in 2018, we created a price support fund (300 billion won) exclusively for tertiary suppliers, so that the transaction amount between suppliers can be paid in cash within 30 days. loan without interest.

Since 2010, incentives worth 500 billion won have been paid to semiconductor suppliers to prevent safety accidents and improve quality.

In addition, Samsung Electronics is supporting factory operation optimization and manufacturing and quality innovation by discovering and improving problems with partner companies such as reduced productivity and defects through the ‘Consulting Center’, a win-win cooperation academy composed of experts in manufacturing, quality, development, and purchasing. .

In addition, it is helping to improve cost competitiveness by improving inefficiencies and reducing costs by passing on the cost innovation cases of Samsung Electronics accumulated over the years to partner companies. For the past 9 years, we have provided consulting services to over 1,600 suppliers for free.

To support partner companies in discovering future growth engines, we have been holding technology briefing sessions to introduce technologies owned by domestic universities and research institutes since 2009. The case was transferred free of charge.

Since 2013, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups contributed about 20 billion won to the 'joint investment type technology development project' with the fund.

The 'Win-Win Cooperation Academy', established in 2013 by Samsung Electronics for shared growth with business partners, is a 'consulting center' that supports innovation of business partners and a 'education center' that supports education courses such as innovation, job, technology, and leadership. , and the 'Youth Job Center' that supports the recruitment of partners who have difficulties in securing talent.

Various education programs similar to Samsung’s employee training curriculum, such as introductory training for new employees, future managers, and job training for manufacturing/quality/purchasing/marketing, were provided to 160,000 employees of partner companies, and through the Samsung partner company recruitment fair and partner company online recruitment center, etc. Supported the recruitment of 4,500 talents.

In particular, from the second half of this year, it has been developed into a ‘comprehensive consulting tailored to business partners’ that efficiently supports consulting/education/recruitment support activities that have been separately implemented in the past.

In addition, Samsung Electronics has supported the construction of a customized smart factory for manufacturing innovation of poor SMEs since 2015. Comprehensive support is provided for input, manufacturing site innovation, manpower training, and follow-up management.

To this end, Samsung Electronics and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups will invest a total of 100 billion won each by 10 billion won each year until 2022.
