광주광역시는 5일 오전 전남대학교에서 당·정·학 간담회를 개최하고 지역대학의 반도체 학과 신설과 지역균형발전 방안 등을 집중 논의했다.

간담회에서는 최근 윤석열 대통령이 강조하고 있는 반도체 인력 양성과 관련해 지역 균형발전 차원에서 지역대학에 반도체 관련 학과를 신설할 수 있도록 하는 방안과 지역대학 위기 극복 등 지역 인재 육성 전반에 대한 전략을 당·정·학이 함께 논의하고 지혜를 모았다.
우상호 더불어민주당 비대위원장은 모두발언을 통해 지역 균형발전의 중요성을 강조하고 “지역의 반도체 관련 인재 육성과 지역대학 위기 극복을 위해 당 차원에서 노력하겠다고 말했다.
