용산 대통령 집무실 새 명칭 후보군이 5개로 압축된 가운데 6월중 확정 후 발표될 예정이다.
대통령실새이름위원회는 3일 대통령 집무실 새 명칭 5개 후보작에 국민의집·국민청사·민음청사·바른누리·이태원로22로 등을 선정했다고 밝혔다. 지난 4월15일부터 한 달간 대국민 공모로 접수된 약 3만건의 응모작에 대한 심사결과다.
위원회는 후보작 5개의 국민 선호도 조사를 위해 6월3~9일 까지 '국민생각함(www.epeople.go.kr>idea)'에서 진행 결과·심사위원 배점을 각각 70대30 비율로 합산 후 선정해 최종 후보작을 결정하고 6월중 확정, 발표할 계획이다.
위원회에 따르면 후보작 중 '국민의집'은 국민이 대통령실 주인이며 대통령실은 국민 모두에 열려있는 공간이란 의미를 담았다.
'국민청사'는 국민을 위한 공적 공간이란 뜻으로 관청 의미의 '청사'에서 나아가 국민 소리를 듣고(청(聽)) 국민을 생각한다(사(思))는 의미가 담겼다.
'민음청사'는 국민 소리인 민음(民音)을 듣는 관청이란 뜻으로 국민 의견을 경청하고 실천하기 위해 노력한다는 의미가 담겼다.
'바른누리'는 바르다는 뜻을 가진 '바른'과 세상이란 뜻을 가진 '누리'를 결합한 순우리말로 공정한 세상을 염원하는 국민 소망을 담았다.
