윤석열 대통령 당선인은 10일 국회 도서관에서 가진 공식 당선 인사를 통해 이같이 말했다.
윤 당선인은 "벅찬 마음과 무한한 책임감을 갖고 제20대 대통령 당선인으로서 국민 여러분 앞에 섰다"면서 "정치를 시작한 후 여러 어려움이 있었다. 그럴 때 마다 왜 국민이 저를 불러내었는지, 무엇이 국민을 위한 것인지를 생각했다"고 말했다.
이어 "공직자가 권력에 굴복하면 정의가 죽고, 힘없는 국민은 더욱 위태로워 진다"며 "국민들께서는 26년간 공정과 정의를 위해 어떠한 권력에도 굴하지 않았던 저의 소신에 희망을 걸고 저를 이 자리에 세우셨다. 정의가 무엇인지 고민하기 전에 일상에서 정의를 느낄 수 있게 하겠다는 국민과의 약속을 지키라는 뜻"이라고 강조했다.
그는 "이 나라의 공정과 상식을 바로 세우라는 개혁의 목소리이고 국민을 편 가르지 말고, 통합의 정치를 하라는 국민의 간절한 호소"라며 "새로운 희망의 나라를 만들라는 준엄한 명령이다. 저는 이러한 국민의 뜻을 결코 잊지 않겠다"고 다짐했다.
그러면서 "정치적 유불리가 아닌 국민의 이익과 국익이 국정의 기준이 되면 우리 앞에 진보,보수, 영호남도 따로 없을 것이다. 저 윤석열, 오직 국민만 보고갈 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
윤 당선인은 또한 "윤석열 정부는 자유민주주의와 시장경제를 바로 세워 위기를 극복하고 통합과 번영의 시대를 열겠다"며 "자유민주주의를 위협하는 철 지난 이념을 멀리하고, 국민의 상식에 기반하여 국정을 운영하겠다"고 했다.
그는 "정부 주도가 아닌 민간 중심의경제로 전환해 일자리를 창출하고 중산층을 더욱 부텁게 할 것"이라며 "첨단기술 혁신을 대대적으로 지원해 과학기술 선도국가로 발돋움하고 한국 경제를 다시 성장궤도에 올려놓겠다"고 약속했다.
아울러 "디지털 플랫폼 정부를 구현해 공공 의사결정이 데이터에 기반하고, 과학적이고 합리적으로 이뤄질 수 있도록 하겠다"고 했고, "코로나로 벼랑 끝에 몰린 자영업자와 소상공인을 위해 고통 분담에 적극 나서고, 미래 준비도 철저히 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
부정부패와 관련해서도 "민주주의를 위협하는 부정부패는 네 편 내 편 가릴 것 없이 국민 편에서 엄단하고, 우리 국민 누구에게나 공정하게 적용되는 법치의 원칙을 확고하게 지켜나가겠다"고 했다.
대북 관계와 관련해선 "국민의 안전과 재산, 영토와 주권을 지키기 위해 어떠한 도발도 확실하게 억제할 수 있는 강력한 국방력을 구축하겠다"며 "북한의 불법적이고 불합리한 행동에 대해서는 원칙에 따라 단호하게 대처하되 남북대화의 문은 언제든 열어둘 것"이라고 말했다.
주변국과의 외교와 관련해서는 "한미동맹을 재건하고 자유민주주의, 시장경제, 인권의 핵심 가치를 공유하면서 포괄적 전략동맹을 강화해 나가겠다"면서 "상호존중의 한중 관계를 발전시키고 미래지향적 한일 관계를 만들겠다. 지역별로 특화된 글로벌 협력 네트워크를 구축하며 경제안보 외교를 강화하겠다"고 강조했다.
윤석열 당선인은 마지막으로 "국민의 고통과 마음을 보듬지 못하고, 국민의 신뢰에 보답하지 못한다면 준엄한 목소리로 꾸짖어 달라"면서 "초심을 잃지 않고, 겸손한 자세로 국민만 보고 가겠다. 늘 국민 편에 서겠다. 국민을 속이지 않는 정직한 정부, 국민 앞에 정직한 대통령 되겠다"고 힘주어 말했다.
