경북과학대 뮤직프로덕션과, 가을 정기공연으로 힐링선사

경북과학대학교(총장 김현정) 뮤직프로덕션과 학생들이 가을정기공연으로 코로나19 장기화에 지친 지역민들에게 힐링을 선사했다.

 

지난 21일 대구 수성구 ‘베리어스 콘서트홀’에서 열린 이번 공연은 수업시간에 연습한 합주곡으로 구성된 1부와 아코디언, 피아니스트 곽민석 교수가 이끄는 반주팀과 학생들의 연주로 구성된 2부로 나누어 진행되었다.

공연에서 학생들은 ‘브랜포드 마샬리스’의 ‘Mo' Better Blues’, 올리버 넬슨의 블루스 재즈 연주곡 ‘Stolen Moments’, 제임스 브라운의 대표 펑크 곡 ‘I Got You’ 등을 색소폰 앙상블로 편곡, 연주했다.

 

또 합주곡으로 강렬한 록발라드 게리 무어의 ‘Still Got The Blues’를 연주해 보컬과 기타, 색소폰 백그라운드 사운드로 조화를 이뤘으며 이국적인 라틴리듬의 ‘Maria Elena’도 많은 박수를 받았다.

 

뿐만 아니라 트로트 계열의 ‘당신이 좋아’, ‘비켜간 맹세’와 발라드 ‘열애’, ‘세월이 가면’ 등 귀에 익숙한 곡들과 ‘Heal The World’, ‘Autumn Leaves’ 등 가을밤에 잘 어울리는 곡들이 연주돼 코로나19로 지친 지역민들에게 힐링을 선사했다.

 

또 색소폰 연주실기와 앙상블을 지도하는 김지륭, 김미정 교수의 스페셜 무대가 공연을 더욱 화려하게 장식했다.

 

경북과학대 뮤직프로덕션과 김정식 학과장은 “음악을 배우며 인생 2막을 준비하는 성인반 학생들이 그동안 배운 실력을 뽐내고 지역민들에게 힐링의 시간을 선사하기 위해 이번 정기공연을 마련했다”며 “최근 음악과 함께 노년을 보내려는 중장년층이 늘어남에 따라 성인 학습자를 위한 다양한 프로그램을 운영하고 있다”고 말했다.

Kim Jeong-sik, head of the music production department at Kyungpook National University of Science and Technology, said, “We have prepared this regular performance for adult students who are learning music and preparing for the second act of life, to show off their skills and to give local people a time of healing. As the number of middle-aged people who want to spend time increases, we are operating various programs for adult learners.”
