브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 네이버가 해외여행 정보를 보다 편리하게 확인할 수 있도록 아시아 주요 국가와 도시의 검색 결과를 강화했다.
네이버는 2일 기존 일본에 더해 베트남, 태국, 인도네시아, 필리핀, 대만, 싱가포르 주요 지역과 홍콩·마카오 등 아시아 6개국 45개 지역의 여행 관련 검색 정보를 확대했다고 밝혔다.
이제 해당 지역을 검색하면 날씨와 환율, 비자, 추천 여행 시기 등 기본 정보와 함께 외교부가 제공하는 입국 종합 안내와 안전 공지 등도 검색 결과 상단에서 확인할 수 있다.
여행 정보 하단에는 ‘함께 찾는 정보’ 영역을 신설해 가볼 만한 곳과 맛집, 여행가이드, 즐길거리, 호텔, 추천 여행 시기, 추천 코스 등 다양한 주제의 콘텐츠를 탐색할 수 있도록 했다.
네이버 블로그와 클립에 올라온 여행지 사진·영상과 관광청, 여행 전문 매체가 제작한 콘텐츠도 함께 제공한다.
AI를 활용한 여행 콘텐츠 추천 기능도 적용했다. 블로그와 카페 등 이용자들이 남긴 여행 콘텐츠를 바탕으로 최근 인기가 높아진 맛집과 명소, 테마파크 등 여행지를 선별해 추천한다. 추천 장소를 선택하면 네이버 해외 플레이스로 연결돼 상세 정보를 확인할 수 있다.
최지훈 네이버 플레이스 검색 총괄 리더는 “네이버에서 해외여행 정보를 탐색하는 이용자가 꾸준히 증가하고 있어 해외 플레이스 정보와 검색 경험을 강화하게 됐다”며 “이번 아시아 주요 지역 검색 개편에 더해 향후에는 미주 지역으로도 대상 국가 및 도시를 점진 확대할 계획”이라고 말했다.

Naver Enhances Overseas Travel Search; Expands Information on 45 Asian Cities
Naver has upgraded its search results for major Asian countries and cities to make accessing overseas travel information more convenient.
On the 2nd, Naver announced that it has expanded travel-related search information to cover 45 locations across six Asian countries and regions—including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau—in addition to the existing coverage of Japan.

The service also features photos and videos of travel destinations uploaded to Naver Blog and Naver Clip, as well as content produced by tourism boards and travel media outlets.
An AI-powered travel content recommendation feature has also been implemented. Based on travel content shared by users on platforms like blogs and online communities, the system selects and recommends trending restaurants, attractions, theme parks, and other destinations. Selecting a recommended location links the user to "Naver Overseas Places," where they can view detailed information.
Choi Ji-hoon, Head of Naver Place Search, stated, "As the number of users searching for overseas travel information on Naver continues to rise, we decided to enhance our overseas location data and search experience." He added, "Following this revamp for major Asian regions, we plan to gradually expand the scope of covered countries and cities to include the Americas in the future."
