국립공주대학교가 대학 통합을 위한 구성원 찬반 투표를 실시한 결과, 전 주체에서 과반수 찬성을 얻어 통합 추진을 위한 내부 동의 절차를 최종 통과시켰다.
이번 투표는 교수, 직원 및 조교, 학생 등 3개 주체별로 나누어 실시되었으며, 국립공주대는 3개 주체 중 2개 주체 이상에서 과반 참여와 과반 찬성을 얻을 경우 전체 구성원의 동의로 간주한다는 가결 기준을 적용했다.
전체 유권자 15,401명 가운데 11,824명이 투표에 참여해 76.77%의 투표율을 기록한 가운데, 3개 주체 모두에서 찬성 표가 과반을 넘어섰다.
주체별 투표 결과를 보면, 교수의 경우 대상자 531명이 참여해 93.49%의 높은 투표율을 기록했으며, 이 중 380명(71.56%)이 찬성표를 던지고 151명(28.44%)이 반대했다. 직원 및 조교는 316명(투표율 55.54%)이 참여해 찬성 197명(62.34%), 반대 119명(37.66%)으로 집계됐다.
유권자 수가 가장 많은 학생층 역시 10,977명(투표율 76.96%)이 투표에 참여해 6,584명(59.98%)이 찬성하고 4,393명(40.02%)이 반대하면서 모든 주체에서 찬성 의견이 우세를 보였다.
한편 국립공주대는 투표 과정의 공정성과 투명성을 제고하기 위해 중앙선거관리위원회의 온라인투표시스템(K-Voting)을 구축하고 SMS 및 이메일 인증 방식을 적용해 엄격하게 선거를 관리했다고 밝혔다.
