Kyowon Life Launches Services for Overseas Study, English Camps, and "Living Abroad" Experiences

Kyowon Life, a total life-care subsidiary of Kyowon Group, has partnered with "Uhak.net," a specialist in study-abroad programs, to launch premium educational services that can be paid for using the company’s pre-paid service installments.

This move is part of a strategy to expand the scope of its pre-paid services beyond traditional funeral arrangements into the broader fields of education and life care.

Key services offered through this partnership include study-abroad programs, "live abroad for a month" experiences, and English camps.

The study-abroad service covers major destinations such as the U.S., the U.K., Canada, and New Zealand. It provides one-on-one consultations with expert counselors to design programs tailored to the individual aptitudes and academic goals of elementary, middle, and high school students.

Kyowon Life members receive a waiver on all study-abroad processing fees and a "benefit credit" worth up to 500,000 KRW, which can be used like cash locally. Comprehensive support is provided throughout the entire process, including visa issuance, pre-departure preparations, local settlement, and scholarship applications.

Notably, Kyowon Life is launching a study-abroad membership program for all its members this month. Members can enjoy various benefits—including benefit credits worth up to 300,000 KRW—when preparing for study abroad through Uhak.net.

The "live abroad for a month" service allows participants to stay overseas for three to four weeks, learning conversational English and experiencing local culture simultaneously. The service is offered as a package that includes accommodation, English classes, and cultural activities, with a dedicated guide assigned to the group.

Current destinations include Malta (a premier European resort area), Australia’s Gold Coast, and Cebu in the Philippines, with plans to expand to London (U.K.), New York (U.S.), Cape Town (South Africa), and Dublin (Ireland) in the future.

An "English camp" program, running for up to seven weeks, will also launch in January 2027. Designed for elementary, middle, and high school students, these camps take place in various locations around the world—including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, Los Angeles (USA), London (UK), and Saipan—and every participating member receives a large travel suitcase.

A representative from Kyowon Life stated, "This partnership is significant because it offers customers options to utilize their prepaid funeral service contributions for new educational opportunities, such as studying abroad, or for unique overseas experiences like living abroad for a month." The representative added, "We will continue to expand our 'life-care' services to reflect the diverse lifestyles and needs of our customers, thereby enhancing the practical value of our prepaid funeral services."
