이재명 대통령이 12일 "반도체 산업이 만들어주는 절호의 기회를 활용해 AI(인공지능)·먹거리를 미리 준비해야 한다"고 주장했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 청와대에서 열린 '미래성장동력, 7대 시드(SEED·씨앗) 보고회'에서 "7대 시드 프로젝트는 경제 차세대 성장 엔진·국가 핵심 전략 자산, 대한민국 대도약을 이끌 혁신 원동력이 될 것"이라며 이같이 말했다.
이 대통령이 주장한 7대 시드는 핵융합·SMR(소형모듈원자로)·재생에너지·양자·우주·항공·첨단 바이오·소재·부품 공급망 등이다.
그러면서 "글로벌 기술 경쟁 파고 앞에서 첨단 산업 경쟁·과학 기술력이야말로 경제·안보력·국력 제1 지표라 생각된다"며 "인류 역사를 되돌아보면 언제나 한 발 앞서 첨단 과학 기술 투자 국가는 번영을 이뤘으며 소홀한 국가는 쇠퇴하였음을 알 수 있다"고 했다.
