신한금융그룹이 개최한 '제3회 신한동해 남자아마추어골프선수권대회'가 나흘간의 일정을 마치고 성황리에 막을 내렸다.
신한금융그룹은 지난 14일부터 17일까지 전북 고창 컨트리클럽에서 열린 '제3회 신한동해 남자아마추어골프선수권대회'가 성공적으로 마무리됐다고 20일 밝혔다.
신한금융그룹이 주최하고 대한골프협회(KGA)가 주관한 이번 대회에는 국내 정상급 남자 아마추어 선수 112명이 출전해 경쟁을 펼쳤다. 대회에서는 정의석(천안중앙방통고 3학년)이 최종합계 23언더파 265타를 기록하며 우승을 차지했다.
정의석은 "뜻깊은 대회를 개최해 준 신한금융그룹과 대한골프협회, 고창 컨트리클럽, 대회 관계자들에게 감사드린다"며 "이번 우승을 계기로 대한민국을 대표하는 선수로 성장할 수 있도록 더욱 노력하겠다"고 소감을 밝혔다.
우승자인 정의석에게는 우승 트로피와 메달, 장학금 300만 원, 부상이 수여됐으며, 오는 9월 10일부터 인천 송도 잭니클라우스GC에서 열리는 코리안투어 '제42회 신한동해오픈' 출전권도 함께 제공됐다.
2위부터 5위 입상자에게도 메달과 장학금, 부상이 각각 수여됐다.
신한금융그룹은 선수들이 최상의 기량을 발휘할 수 있도록 연습그린 인근에 런치모니터를 갖춘 연습타석을 마련하고, 최종 라운드에는 푸드트럭을 운영하는 등 선수 중심의 대회 환경을 조성했다고 설명했다.
