최근 필자는 성경(구약)읽기를 시작하며 다니엘(편)을 먼저 읽게 된다. 왜냐하면 유태의 역사에서 그는 외침으로 인한 국가패망을 겪고, 바빌론으로 끌려가고, 절대 제왕 느부가넷살 왕의 고민을 해결하여 고위직을 받고 현지에서 온갖 모함과 감시에도 하나님의 선택을 받은자로 꿋꿋했기 때문이다.
지금 한국은 소위 민주화 40년 만에 부정선거로 절대적 권능을 가진 종북들의 사주로 나라의 존망이 가히 한치 앞을 볼 수 없는 지경이다. 우리가 역사종교로서 기독교를 존중하는 것은 권력에 맞서는 자유, 진리, 복음 등 신앙의 공간 때문일 것이다.
기록에 따르면 느부가넷살왕(네부카드네자르 2세)은 신바발로니아 제국의 두번째 왕으로 정복전쟁의 대성공과 함께 이슈타르의 문, 공중정원 등 전설적 바빌론성을 건설한 왕이기도 하다.
느부가넷살왕은 피정복민족 유태인중에서 총명하고 외모가 수려한 자들을 골라 행정직을 수행케 했다. 여기에 다니엘은 선발되었고 그중에서 신앙의 믿음이 확실한 은총을 받은 것으로 보인다.
이 과정에서 느부가넷살왕은 난해한 꿈을 꾸게 되었고, 여기에 다니엘은 하나님의 은총으로 해석하여 장관으로 발탁된다.
후일 바빌론은 페르시아의 다리우스에게 패망하나 다니엘은 직함을 유지한다. 결국 그의 신앙생활은 페르시아 국정을 위배한 것으로 사자굴에 버려지는 중형에 처한다. 그러나 놀랍게도 사자들은 다니엘을 해치지 않고 결국 구원된다.
다니엘의 이야기에서 우리는 권력은 유한하며, 신앙(종교), 자유, 가치 등 비권력의 요소가 오히려 장기적인 코드임을 보여준다. 즉, 한때 거대한 황금신상을 세웠던 느부가넷살의 왕국도 3대에 걸친 흥망성쇠에 불과했던 것이다.
결국 우리가 올공(올림픽공원)에서 찾아야하는 것을 종북정부가 보이는 것과 달리 범죄, 거짓, 왜곡 등으로 얼룩져 천벌 뿐 아니라 국민저항에 부딪칠 운명이라는 믿음이다.
일찌기 성경과 선각자들의 가르침은 비롯 절대권력이라도 세상의 권세가 유한하다는 것이다. 특히, 16세기 종교개혁에서 얻은 결론은 하나님을 믿는 방식마저 혁신이 필요하다는 것이다. 그래서 카톨릭 천년 전통에도 불구하고 순수한 성경과 복음을 찾는 청교도(퓨리턴)혁명이 대세가 되었던 것이다.

한국이 20/21세기 이념과 종교의 시험대가된 것은 결코 우연이 아니다. 수많은 선교사들의 헌신속에 마침내 위대한 지도자 이승만 박사를 발굴하고 구원했으며 교육시킨 것이다. 결국 건국과 6.25는 이승만과 기독교에 의한 현대판 신성동맹이었던 것이다. 이대통령의 교훈은 군사정부로 이어져 조국근대화로 승화되었던 것이다.
민족중흥을 위한 기적의 팀빌더 였던 군사정부의 업적중 하나가 올공(올림픽공원)이다. 이곳이 부정선거의 현장이자 자유 대한 재건의 현장인 것이다. 우리는 역사와 영웅을 되찾고, 이념에 흔들리고 전면 공산화에 맞서는 자유투사의 위대한 인큐베이터가 되어야하는 것이다.

Reading the Book of Daniel during the June 3rd Jamsil Revolution...

Recently, as I began reading the Bible (Old Testament), I started by reading the Book of Daniel. This is because, in Jewish history, he endured the national ruin caused by foreign invasions, was taken captive to Babylon, resolved the dilemma of the absolute monarch King Nebuchadnezzar to receive a high-ranking position, and remained steadfast as the one chosen by God despite all manner of slander and surveillance in the region.
Currently, 40 years after so-called democratization, Korea is in a state where the very survival of the nation is unpredictable, instigated by pro-North factions who hold absolute power through election fraud. The reason we respect Christianity as a religion of history is likely because it provides a space of faith—freedom, truth, and the Gospel—that stands against power.
According to records, King Nebuchadnezzar (Nebuchadnezzar II) was the second king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire. Along with the great success of his wars of conquest, he was also the king who constructed the legendary city of Babylon, including the Ishtar Gate and the Hanging Gardens.
King Nebuchadnezzar selected intelligent and handsome men from among the conquered Jewish people to serve in administrative positions. Daniel was chosen for this role, and it appears he received special favor for his unwavering faith.
During this process, King Nebuchadnezzar had a mysterious dream, which Daniel interpreted as a sign of God's grace, leading to his appointment as a high-ranking official.
Later, Babylon fell to Darius of Persia, but Daniel retained his position. Ultimately, his religious life was deemed a violation of Persian state affairs, and he was sentenced to the severe punishment of being thrown into a lion's den. However, surprisingly, the lions did not harm Daniel, and he was eventually saved.
From the story of Daniel, we are shown that power is finite, while non-power elements such as faith (religion), freedom, and values serve as the long-term code. In other words, even the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar, which once erected a colossal golden statue, was nothing more than a cycle of rise and fall spanning three generations.
Ultimately, what we must seek at Olympic Park is the belief that, contrary to appearances by the pro-North Korean government, it is stained with crime, lies, and distortion, destined to face not only divine retribution but also popular resistance.
The Bible and the teachings of pioneers have long held that even absolute power possesses finite worldly authority. In particular, the conclusion reached during the 16th-century Reformation was that even the way we believe in God requires innovation. This is why, despite the thousand-year tradition of Catholicism, the Puritan Revolution, seeking the pure Bible and the Gospel, became the mainstream trend.
It is by no means a coincidence that Korea became a testing ground for ideology and religion in the 20th and 21st centuries. Through the dedication of countless missionaries, the great leader Dr. Syngman Rhee was finally discovered, saved, and educated. Ultimately, the founding of the nation and the Korean War were a modern-day holy alliance formed by Syngman Rhee and Christianity. President Rhee's lessons carried over to the military government and were sublimated into the modernization of the nation.
One of the achievements of the military government, which served as a miraculous teambuilder for national revival, is Olympic Park. This place is both the site of election fraud and the site of the reconstruction of a free Korea. We must reclaim our history and heroes, and become a great incubator for freedom fighters who stand against ideological instability and total communization.
