[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 제10대 부산광역시의회가 출범과 동시에 4개 분야의 특별위원회를 구성해 지역 주요 현안 챙기기에 본격적으로 나섰다.
부산광역시의회는 지난 14일 제338회 임시회 제1차 본회의를 열고 인사청문, 해양·신공항 발전, 부울경 광역발전, 기업유치 및 산업단지활성화 등 4개 특별위원회 구성 결의안을 의결했다. 시의회는 이날 오후 의원회관에서 통합 현판식을 개최하며 공백 없는 의정활동의 출발을 알렸다.
이번에 출범한 특별위원회는 신임 시장 취임에 따른 공공기관장 검증과 더불어 가덕도신공항 건설, 부울경 초광역 협력, 지역 산업단지 체질 개선 등 부산의 미래가 걸린 핵심 사업들을 밀착 지원하고 점검하기 위해 마련됐다.
인사청문특별위원회는 총 13명의 위원으로 꾸려졌다. 수영구2 출신의 김보언 의원이 위원장을 맡았으며, 이상욱 의원(동구1)과 조용우 의원(비례대표)이 부위원장으로 활동한다. 위원회는 출자·출연기관장 후보자의 도덕성과 업무 역량을 철저히 검증해 임명 과정의 투명성을 높이는 데 집중할 계획이다.
해양·신공항 발전 특별위원회는 채창섭 위원장(사하구3)을 필두로 하은미 의원(금정구1)과 박상현 의원(영도구2)이 부위원장직을 수행하며 총 9명으로 구성됐다. 해양수산부 이전을 기점으로 관련 기관과 기업의 부산 유치를 이끌어내고, 가덕도신공항과 부산항을 연계한 고부가가치 물류산업 육성 방안을 모색한다.

는 국가균형발전 전략에 발맞춰 동남권 초광역 협력의 실행력을 높이기 위해 가동된다. 서성부 위원장(남구1)과 강영두(북구1)·남명숙(비례대표) 부위원장 등 총 9명의 위원이 교통, 관광, 환경 등 인접 지자체 간의 공동 현안과 협력 사업을 조율할 예정이다.
기업유치 및 산업단지활성화 특별위원회는 류도희 위원장(비례대표)을 비롯해 배관구(비례대표)·김태희(북구4) 부위원장 등 9명으로 채워졌다. 노후화된 산업단지의 인프라 개선과 업종 고도화를 추진하고, 첨단 기업과 공공기관을 유치해 청년 일자리 창출과 지역 경제 활성화의 선순환 구조를 다지는 역할을 맡았다.
강무길 시의회 의장은 출범과 동시에 특위를 가동한 것은 민생 현안에 선제적으로 대응하겠다는 의회의 강력한 의지라고 설명하며, 현장 중심의 꼼꼼한 점검을 통해 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 실효성 있는 정책 대안을 신속히 마련하겠다고 밝혔다.

The 10th Busan Metropolitan Council has officially commenced its legislative activities by establishing four specialized committees designed to address pressing local issues and secure future growth engines for the city.
During the first plenary session of the 338th extraordinary session on July 14, the council passed resolutions to form four distinct panels: the Personnel Hearing Special Committee, the Marine and New Airport Development Special Committee, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (BUK) Regional Development Special Committee, and the Corporate Attraction and Industrial Complex Activation Special Committee. Following the session, council members held a joint plaque-unveiling ceremony at the assembly hall to mark the immediate start of their legislative work.
The newly formed committees aim to provide continuous, high-speed legislative support for critical regional projects, including the upcoming public institution chief appointments, the construction of Gadeokdo New Airport, megacity cooperation in the southeastern region, and the revitalization of local industrial complexes.
The Personnel Hearing Special Committee consists of 13 members led by Chairman Kim Bo-eon (Suyeong-gu 2) and Vice Chairs Lee Sang-wook (Dong-gu 1) and Cho Yong-woo (proportional representation). The committee is tasked with thoroughly vetting the professional capabilities and moral integrity of nominees for municipal public institutions, ensuring transparency and fairness in the appointment process
The Marine and New Airport Development Special Committeeoperates with nine members under Chairman Chae Chang-seop (Saha-gu 3) and Vice Chairs Ha Eun-mi (Geumjeong-gu 1) and Park Sang-hyun (Yeongdo-gu 2). Focusing on the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the committee aims to attract maritime institutions and enterprises to Busan while developing synergy strategies between Gadeokdo New Airport and the Port of Busan to elevate the city into a global maritime hub.
The BUK Regional Development Special Committee was organized to strengthen megacity cooperation among Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Province, aligning with the national balanced development policy. Led by Chairman Seo Seong-bu (Nam-gu 1) and Vice Chairs Kang Young-doo (Buk-gu 1) and Nam Myeong-suk (proportional representation), the nine-member panel will review and coordinate joint projects in transportation, logistics, tourism, and environmental sectors.
The Corporate Attraction and Industrial Complex Activation Special Committee is chaired by Ryu Do-hee (proportional representation), with Bae Gwan-gu (proportional representation) and Kim Tae-hee (Buk-gu 4) serving as vice chairs. The nine-member committee will focus on remodeling aging industrial complexes, upgrading local industries, and attracting high-tech enterprises to create quality jobs and stimulate the local economy.
Kang Mu-gil, Chairman of the Busan Metropolitan Council, stated that the immediate launch of these committees reflects the council’s commitment to staying ahead of municipal challenges. He emphasized that the council would focus on field-centric inspections to swiftly deliver practical policy solutions that local residents can directly experience.
