전남광주통합특별시 소방학교는 지난 13일 중앙소방학교에서 열린 ‘제31회 중앙 소방교육혁신 경연대회 시상식’에서 채관병 소방경이 연구개발 분야 최우수상(행정안전부 장관상)을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
소방청 중앙소방학교가 주관하는 ‘소방교육혁신 경연대회’는 급변하는 재난 환경에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 교육과정을 개발하고, 우수한 소방교수요원과 연구 논문을 발굴하기 위해 1996년부터 매년 개최되고 있는 권위 있는 대회다.
‘직급별·직무별 인공지능(AI) 역량 강화에 필요한 맞춤형 교육’을 주제로 열린 올해 대회에는 전국 소방학교와 시도 소방본부에서 선발된 정예 교수요원 12명이 참가해 치열한 경합을 벌였다.
이 가운데 채관병 소방경은 ‘현장지휘관 자격인증 평가의 객관성 제고를 위한 행위중심 루브릭 개발’을 주제로 발표에 나서 심사위원들로부터 최고 점수를 받았다. 현장 지휘관의 역량을 더욱 공정하고 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 실질적인 기준을 제시했다는 점에서 높은 평가를 얻은 것으로 알려졌다.
채 소방경은 이번 수상으로 능력을 인정받아, 오는 11월 국가공무원인재개발원이 주관하는 ‘제43회 공공HRD콘테스트’에 전남광주 대표로 참가할 수 있는 자격도 함께 획득했다.
조현문 전남광주소방학교장은 “우리 교수진이 소방공무원과 시민들에게 최고의 수준 높은 교육을 제공할 수 있도록, 앞으로도 강의 역량 향상과 연구활동에 대한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 전했다.
