【브레이크뉴스 예천】이성현 기자=전국 중·고등학교 양궁 유망주들이 예천에 모여 기량을 겨루는 대규모 전국대회가 막을 올렸다. 예천군은 7일부터 17일까지 예천진호국제양궁장에서 '제53회 한국중고양궁연맹회장기 및 제52회 문화체육관광부장관기 전국 남·여 중·고등학교 양궁대회'를 개최한다.

이번 대회는 한국중고양궁연맹이 주최하고 경상북도양궁협회가 주관하며, 예천군과 대한양궁협회가 후원한다. 전국 326개 팀에서 선수와 임원 등 1,200여 명이 참가해 리커브와 컴파운드 종목에서 실력을 겨룬다.
대회 개회식은 7일 오후 예천진호국제양궁장 문화체육센터에서 열렸다. 행사에는 안병윤 예천군수와 김홍년 예천군의회 의장, 변형우 경상북도양궁협회장을 비롯한 양궁계 관계자와 기관단체장, 선수단 등 900여 명이 참석해 대회의 성공적인 개최를 기원했다.
특히 이번 대회는 안병윤 군수가 한국중고양궁연맹 회장으로 취임한 이후 처음 맞이하는 전국 규모 공식 대회라는 점에서 의미를 더했다.
