브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 문화체육관광부(이하 문체부)는 3일 “오는 6일 서울 올림픽파크텔에서 ‘K(케이)-축구 혁신위원회(이하 혁신위)’를 출범한다”고 밝혔다.
이번 혁신위는 최휘영 문체부 장관과 박지성 국제축구연맹(FIFA) 분과위원회 위원이 공동위원장으로 참여하며, 한시적 기구로 운영될 예정이다.
혁신위에는 이영표, 박주호 해설위원 등 축구인을 비롯해 유승민 대한체육회 회장, 김승희 대한축구협회 전무이사, 조연상 프로축구연맹 사무총장, 유영근 변호사, 김대희 교수 등 체육계 관계자 및 전문가들이 함께한다.
특히 이번 혁신위는 ‘2026 FIFA 북중미 월드컵’을 계기로 제기된 축구 혁신 요구에 부응하기 위해 출범하게 됐다. K-축구 거버넌스, 유소년 선수 육성, 첨단 기술 시스템 도입 등 대한민국 축구의 미래 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 주요 과제를 종합적으로 논의할 예정이다.
