금산군청 사이클팀이 전국 무대에서 압도적인 기량을 과시하며 종합 우승을 차지했다고 29일 전했다.
최희동 감독과 장승희 코치가 이끄는 금산군청 사이클팀은 지난 20일부터 26일까지 열린 '2026 양양 KBS 전국 사이클선수권대회'에서 트랙과 도로 전 부문을 석권하며 종합 1위에 올랐다.
금산군청은 선수들의 결속력이 핵심인 단체추발 4km 종목에서 금메달을 목에 걸며 우승 가속도를 붙였다. 개인전에서도 눈부신 메달 행진을 이어갔다.
간판스타 장경구 선수는 트랙 종목인 옴니엄을 점령한 데 이어 개인도로 138.4km에서 2위로 결승선을 통과하며 대회 2관왕을 거머쥐었다. 여자부의 신지은 선수 역시 21km 도로독주에서 정상에 오르고 옴니엄 2위를 기록하며 팀의 독주 체제에 힘을 보탰다.
여기에 최형민 선수가 도로독주 42km에서 2위를 확보하고, 전우주 선수가 1km 독주에서 2위를 추가하며 전 부문에서 고르게 승점을 쌓았다.
