브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= JTBC가 ‘2026 FIFA 북중미 월드컵’ 중계 중단설을 일축하며 “결승전까지 차질 없이 중계한다”는 입장을 밝혔다.
JTBC는 24일 공식입장을 톨해 “JTBC는 현재 대회가 진행 중인 ‘2026 FIFA 북중미 월드컵’의 결승전까지 모두 차질 없이 중계한다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “대한민국 대표팀의 경기는 물론, 토너먼트의 마지막까지 월드컵 현장을 생생하게 전해드릴 예정이니, 잘못된 정보에 착오 없길 바란다”고 덧붙였다.
지난 23일 일본 TBS는 ‘2026 FIFA 북중미 월드컵’ 국내 중계권을 보유한 JTBC가 국제축구연맹(FIFA)에 월드컵 중계권료 일부를 납부하지 못했고, 한국에서 오는 29일 이후 월드컵 시청이 어려울 수 있다고 보도했다.
JTBC는 해당 보도 이후 ‘2026 FIFA 북중미 월드컵’ 중계 중단에 대한 우려가 커지자 입장문을 낸 것으로 보인다.
