홍천군은 오는 19일부터 24일까지 6일간 홍천군 궁도장에서 전국 궁도인들의 최대 축제인 ‘2026년 전국 사두 및 사정대항 궁도대회 겸 제189회 전국 남녀 궁도 승단대회’를 개최한다고 18일 밝혔다.
대한궁도협회가 주최하고 강원특별자치도 궁도협회와 홍천군 궁도협회가 공동 주관하는 이번 대회는 우리 민족 고유의 전통 무예인 궁도의 얼을 기리고, 전국 궁도인들의 화합과 교류를 다지기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 대회는 규모 면에서도 매머드급을 자랑한다. 전국 궁도장의 대표 격인 사두들을 비롯해 내로라하는 선수와 임원 등 무려 1,000여 명이 홍천을 찾는다. 특히 전국 사두 및 사정 대항전과 남녀 승단대회가 한자리에서 치러지는 전국 규모의 행사인 만큼, 그 어느 때보다 팽팽한 긴장감 속에 최고 수준의 명승부가 펼쳐질 전망이다.
