예천군은 대한육상연맹이 주최하고 경북육상연맹이 주관하는 ‘KAAF배 제54회 그린 전국육상경기대회’가 오는 19일부터 23일까지 5일간 예천스타디움에서 개최된다고 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 초·중·고교 선수는 물론 대학부와 일반부, 생활체육 동호인까지 참가하는 국내 대표 육상대회 가운데 하나로, 전국 각지의 육상인들이 기량을 겨루는 축제의 장이 될 전망이다.
대회에는 총 145개 종목에 걸쳐 선수와 지도자, 임원 등 4천여 명이 참가한다. 특히 ‘세계 U20 육상경기선수권대회 국가대표 선발전’과 ‘제32회 대한체육회장배 전국생활체육 육상경기대회’가 함께 열려 경쟁의 열기를 더할 예정이다.
관심을 모으는 선수들의 출전도 이어진다. 최근 국제무대에서 우수한 성적을 거두고 있는 남자 400m 계주 국가대표 선수들이 대거 출전하며, 올해 홍콩 아시아 U20 육상선수권대회 남자 포환던지기에서 대회 신기록을 세운 박시훈(울산시청)도 경기에 나선다.
