대한민국 과학수도 대전이 한여름 밤의 정취와 첨단 과학 교육을 결합한 이색 체류형 야간관광 콘텐츠를 선보이며 전국 학부모와 유소년 유치에 나선다.
대전관광공사는 과학도시 대전의 독보적인 특색을 살린 가족 체류형 야간관광 프로그램인 ‘2026 사이언스 나이트 캠프’를 오는 6월 20일부터 7월 12일까지 총 4회에 걸쳐 본격 운영한다고 15일 밝혔다.
이번 프로그램은 초등학교 고학년 자녀를 둔 가족을 타깃으로 삼아 대전외국인학교(TCIS)에서 1박 2일 일정으로 진행된다. 밀도 높은 체험 환경을 제공하기 위해 회차당 참여 규모는 최대 32가족으로 제한해 운영할 방침이다.
‘사이언스 나이트 캠프’는 단순한 관람형 야간 콘텐츠에서 벗어나 과학 실험과 야간관광, 글로벌 교육 체험을 유기적으로 엮어낸 것이 특징이다.
참가자들은 물리·생물·화학 분야의 다채로운 실험 미션을 직접 해결하는 ‘사이언스 레이스’에 참여하며 과학적 탐구심을 기르게 된다. 밤이 깊어지면 대전시민천문대 전문가들과 함께하는 천체 관측 및 천문 강의 세션이 이어져 대전의 밤하늘을 무대로 한 특별한 낭만을 만끽할 수 있다.
