(브레이크뉴스 광주·전남) 이학수 기자=전남광주대전환기획위원회(이하 대전환기획위원회)가 전남·광주 통합특별시의 핵심 과제 실행력을 높이고, 현장의 생생한 요구를 정책에 반영하기 위해 대대적인 조직 보강에 나섰다.
대전환기획위원회는 15일, 통합특별시 성패를 가를 2개 태스크포스(TF)와 분야별 전문성을 강화한 6개 특별위원회를 추가로 구성하고 본격적인 가동에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
위원회는 통합특별시 출범의 핵심 분과로 꼽히는 '기업유치 TF'와 '재정기획 TF'를 신설하고, 정은승 위원장과 백승주 부위원장이 각각 사령탑을 맡아 직접 진두지휘하도록 했다.
기업유치 TF (정은승 위원장)은 AI·에너지·반도체 등 미래전략산업 투자유치와 성장동력 확보 전략 수립을 이끈다. 실무 총괄을 위해 손경종 한국AI사물인터넷협회 상근부회장이 TF팀장으로 합류했다.
특히 AI·반도체 부문은 국회의원이자 전 국가인공지능전략위원회 부위원장인 임문영 의원(광주 광산구을)을 특별자문위원으로 영입해 전략 수립의 전문성을 두텁게 보강했다.
재정기획 TF (백승주 위원장)은 통합특별시의 성공적인 안착을 위해 재정 통합 방식과 재정특례 확보, 국가재정 지원 확대 방안을 집중적으로 검토할 예정이다.
기존 7개 분과위원회와 별도로 운영되는 6개 특별위원회는 ▲농업대전환 ▲섬해양수산 ▲교육대전환 ▲체육건강도시 ▲지역균형발전 ▲대통합공약추진 분야로 구성됐다. 이들은 독립 조직으로서 분야별 현안과 전문 과제를 중점 발굴하게 된다.
특히 농업대전환특위와 섬해양수산특위는 하부 분과를 촘촘하게 세분화해 정책 전문성을 극대화했다.
농업대전환특위는 이규현 전남도의원이 위원장을 맡아 농업 분야를 챙기며, 남경우 전 농협중앙회 축산경제대표(축산)와 이광우 광주전남산림조합협의회장(임업)이 참여해 발전을 도모한다.
섬해양수산특위는 김현덕 순천대 교수가 위원장(해양물류 총괄)을 맡고, 임한규 목포대 교수(해양수산), 박준택 전 전남해양수산과학원장(해양수산), 이주빈 조선대 외래교수(섬)가 전담 위원으로 합류했다.
교육대전환특위는 박현주 전 조선대 부총장과 정은경 전남대 교육혁신본부장이 공동위원장을 맡아 미래 인재 양성 기반 구축과 기업 유치의 필수 조건인 '정주형 교육도시' 토대 마련에 주력한다.
체육건강도시특위는 김현우 조선대 체육교육과 교수가 위원장을 맡아 생활·엘리트 체육 발전 및 시민 건강 증진 정책을 논의한다.
지역균형발전특위는 최형식 전 담양군수가 위원장을 맡아 광주·전남, 도시·농촌의 상생 균형발전 방안을 수립한다.
대통합공약추진특위는 김일주 전 더불어민주당 전남도당 정책실장이 위원장으로 임명됐다.
위원회는 이날 조직의 안정적인 운영과 활동 지원을 뒷받침할 '운영지원단'도 함께 꾸렸다. 단장에는 변원섭 전 한국능률협회 공공혁신본부장이 임명됐다.
