계명대학교는 양궁부 선수들이 최근 튀르키예 이스탄불에서 열린 ‘2026 컨케스트컵’과 전북 익산에서 개최된 ‘제29회 회장기 한국대학 양궁선수권대회’에서 우수한 성적을 거두며 국내외 무대에서 두각을 나타냈다고 밝혔다.
국제대회에서는 체육학과 1학년 유슬하 선수의 활약이 돋보였다. 유슬하는 예선에서 전체 1위로 본선을 통과한 뒤 토너먼트에서도 안정적인 경기력을 선보이며 개인전 우승을 차지했다.
단체전에서도 좋은 성과가 이어졌다. 유슬하는 강민진(경희대), 이주예(인천대) 선수와 함께 출전한 여자 단체전에서 정상에 올랐으며, 최철준(배재대) 선수와 호흡을 맞춘 혼성 단체전에서는 준우승을 기록했다. 개인전과 단체전, 혼성 단체전 모두 입상하며 국제 경쟁력을 입증했다.
국내 무대에서도 계명대의 상승세는 이어졌다. 회장기 한국대학 양궁선수권대회 남자 대학부 단체전에서는 강민승, 장준하, 신준, 송지성 선수로 구성된 계명대가 우승을 차지했다.
특히 송지성 선수는 개인전에서도 정상에 오르며 차세대 기대주로 주목받았다. 거리별 경기에서도 강민승 선수가 90m 부문 2위, 송지성 선수가 50m 2위와 30m 3위를 기록하는 등 선수들이 고른 기량을 선보였다.
임경근 계명대 양궁부 감독은 “국내외 대회가 연이어 진행되는 강행군 속에서도 선수들이 흔들림 없이 집중력을 유지하며 좋은 성과를 거뒀다”며 “개인의 기량 향상은 물론 팀워크도 꾸준히 발전하고 있어 앞으로가 더욱 기대된다”고 말했다.
이어 “과학적인 훈련 시스템과 체계적인 선수 육성을 통해 국제 무대 경쟁력을 더욱 높여 나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
한편 계명대 양궁부는 국가대표 선수들을 꾸준히 배출해 온 전통의 강팀으로 평가받고 있다. 교내 장혜진 양궁장을 중심으로 전문 훈련 인프라를 구축하고 있으며, 올림픽 금메달리스트 장혜진과 유스세계양궁선수권대회 금메달리스트 장준하 등 우수 선수를 배출하며 국내 대학 양궁을 선도하고 있다. 최근에도 체계적인 훈련 환경과 조직력을 바탕으로 국내외 주요 대회에서 꾸준한 성과를 이어가고 있다.
