충남 논산시가 시민들의 안전한 생활환경을 조성하기 위해 안전관리자문단과 함께 관내 주요 시설물에 대한 정밀 집중안전점검에 나선다.
이번 점검은 재난 발생 가능성이 있거나 노후화된 시설을 사전에 파악해 위험 요소를 선제적으로 차단하기 위해 마련됐다.
논산시는 지난 4월부터 대대적인 집중안전점검에 돌입해 현재까지 총 4차례의 점검을 마무리했다. 지난 5월 점검 중에는 무허가로 불법 운영되던 외국인 근로자 숙소 1곳을 적발해 행정명령 등 강력한 후속 조치를 단행하기도 했다. 시는 이달 중으로 3차례의 추가 점검을 이어갈 예정이다.
특히 이번 6월 점검은 시민들의 직접적인 목소리를 반영해 실효성을 높였다. '주민점검 신청제'를 통해 접수된 생활 밀접형 시설물 6개소를 점검 대상에 새롭게 포함해 시민들이 체감하는 안전 사각지대를 꼼꼼히 살핀다.
아울러 부시장 주재 하에 교량 등 주요 기반 시설에 대한 강도 높은 현장 점검이 이뤄진다. 특히 육안으로 식별하기 어려운 교량 하부 등의 취약 부위를 점검하기 위해 안전관리자문단 소속 수상안전구조대가 투입되어 수중 정밀 점검까지 병행할 계획이다.

In particular, the effectiveness of this June inspection has been enhanced by reflecting the direct voices of citizens.
