교통·관광 아우르는 5대 핵심 공동 공약 전면 내세워
"도-시 간 정례 협의회 구성…'원팀'으로 예산·행정 공동 대응"
더불어민주당 장기수 천안시장 후보와 박수현 충남도지사 후보가 천안의 비약적인 도약과 충남의 상생 발전을 위해 굳건한 정책 동맹을 맺었다.
장기수 천안시장 후보와 박수현 충남도지사 후보는 5월 23일 장기수 후보 선거사무소에서 충청남도와 천안시의 지속 가능한 성장을 도모하는 공동 공약 추진 협약식에 서명했다.
이번 협약은 광역단체와 기초단체의 긴밀한 공조 체계를 구축함으로써 지지부진했던 지역 숙원 사업을 돌파하고 시민들의 삶의 질을 실질적으로 끌어올리기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 발표된 상생 협약서에는 천안의 인프라와 정주 여건을 대대적으로 개편할 5대 핵심 과제가 담겼다.
양 후보는 구체적으로 인간과 동물이 공존하는 반려동물테마파크 조성 ,독립기념관 서곡 구역의 시민 친화적 개방 및 활용 ,성거~목천~신방을 잇는 천안 외곽순환도로망의 신속한 건설 ,GTX-C 천안 노선의 조속한 연장 개통 ,용연저수지 일대 어린이 자연생태공원 조성 등을 공동으로 책임지고 추진하기로 합의했다.
이 자리에서 박수현 도지사 후보는 "충남 전체의 발전을 견인하기 위해서는 수석 도지인 천안에서의 압도적인 승리가 절대적으로 필요하다"고 강조하며, 기존 협약에 더해 '동학농민혁명기념도서관 건립'을 추가 과제로 제안하며 장 후보에게 힘을 실었다.
장기수 천안시장 후보는 "천안이 직면한 광역 교통망 구축이나 대규모 관광 인프라 확충은 천안시만의 힘으로는 한계가 명확하다"며 "충남도와 천안시가 '원팀'으로 뭉쳐 시너지를 낼 때 비로소 천안의 대전환 시대가 열릴 것"이라고 의미를 부여했다.
