(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=광주광역시가 ‘세계인의 날(5월 20일)’을 맞아 오는 23일 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 시청 일원에서 ‘2026 광주광역시 세계인의 날(Together Day 2026)’ 행사를 개최한다.
‘세계인의 날’은 내·외국인이 서로의 문화와 다양성을 존중하며 함께 살아가는 사회적 분위기를 조성하기 위해 법무부가 제정한 국가기념일이다. 광주시는 매년 기념행사를 열어 외국인 주민과 지역민이 함께 소통하는 화합의 장을 마련해 왔다.
광주외국인주민지원센터와 광주국제교류센터가 공동 주관하고 광주시가 후원하는 올해 행사는 ‘광주시민×세계시민: 모두의 축제’를 주제로 열린다. 다양한 국가의 문화를 직접 경험하고 교류할 수 있는 참여형 글로벌 축제로 꾸며질 예정이다.
